  • RICHARD PIERCE: Tyra’s father. Stiff, authoritative, views his daughter as an asset to be managed.

  • VICTOR NANCE: The vampire kingpin of Chicago’s nightlife. Sophisticated, possessive, and used to absolute control.

  • EVANGELINE THORNE: The night-shift waitress. Grounded, perceptive, and a natural caretaker who reads people instantly.

  • RYLIE DELACROIX: A fierce, wild swamp witch. Outspoken, wearing grease-stained denim, and deeply attuned to raw power. Aquarius Coven.

  • LAUREL ST. CLAIR: An aristocratic coven traditionalist. Elegant, draped in dark linen, and fiercely protective of structure and order.

  • NATHANIEL “NATE” CAEDEN: A warden for the Conclave, seen as a wild card but still fairly useful in guarding the village of Acadia and keeping new witches and wizards in line.

  • MALACHAI CAEDEN: Vice-President of the Conclave.

  • ARCHIVIST GIDEON STERLING: Beautifully fuses old-money prestige with ancient, skeletal authority. He is the perfect representation of the Conclave’s rigid, unyielding legal system.

  • JEZEBEL LOCKE: Head of the Aquarius Coven. Ethereal, fluid, and dangerously uninhibited. Rejects the rigid laws of the Conclave. Deeply entangled with Nathaniel Caeden.

  • AXEL: Muscular and aggressive Second-in-Command of the local vampire cadre. Hot-tempered, possessive, and frequently challenges alliances with the covens.

  • IVY: Fierce and defiant vampire in the same cadre. Often at odds with Axel, more open to working with the covens for protection.

  • MADISON: Sharp-eyed, athletic vampire and capable enforcer. Has a complicated romantic history with Nathaniel Caeden.

  • BETHANY: Aquarius Coven ‘bartender’.

  • OPHELIA: Aquarius Coven member. Rather boisterous and excitable.

  • HAVEN: Member of the Icarus Coven. Confident, elegant, and disciplined.

  • NOLAN: Rogue wizard with no coven affiliation. Charming, carefree, and flirtatious.

  • DR. SILAS MOREAU: Respected local healer and paramedic based near Acadia Village. A true neutral Conclave ally with powerful healing magic. Helped people from all factions without taking sides.

  • AURELIA: Elegant and cold senior representative of the Icarus Coven / Conclave. Strict, politically sharp, and quick to accuse others of breaking the Accords.

  • HADRIAN MONTOYA: Dangerous and aggressive vampire enforcer. Hot-tempered and often in conflict with the covens and Conclave.

  • MIRA: A sharp and observant vampire associated with the local cadre. Often seen alongside Ivy; quiet, calculating, and seems to know more than she lets on.

  • IRIS: Charismatic and radiant Vice President of a prominent social coven. A talented performer whose magical music can influence emotions and the environment. Warm, insightful, and politically savvy.

  • WILL: Rugged werewolf known for operating a stall at village events. Charming but shady, often offers “special” drinks with questionable additives.

  • WANDA: Will’s wife. A cunning and sharp-tongued werewolf who helps run their shady stall at village gatherings. Equally charming and untrustworthy, often assists in pressuring newcomers into accepting their “special” offerings.

  • CELESTE MCCRAE: Cheerful and energetic member of the Aquarius Coven. Outgoing, playful, and full of life.

  • BRIAR PRESCOTT: Energetic, bold, and outgoing Aquarius Coven member. Often seen at rituals and social gatherings.

  • ELARA MOREAU: Senior Warden of Acadia Village. Cousin of the late Dr. Silas Moreau. Stern, highly competent, and no-nonsense. Skilled in both combat and healing magic. Deeply affected by her cousin’s murder.

  • RANDY VALE: Skilled healer-mage affiliated with the Taurus Coven (co-ed). Calm, precise, and highly knowledgeable. Often assists in emergencies and worked closely with Silas Moreau.

  • TALIA DELANEY: Young woman frequently caught in faction conflicts. Tough, street-smart, and often ends up in dangerous situations.

  • BROCK: Large, aggressive werewolf known for his volatile temper and involvement in territory disputes. Muscular and intimidating.

  • BRIELLE INDAH: Fiery and outspoken witch (often heavily pregnant in recent scenes). Strong-willed, sharp-tongued, and quick to take charge in emergencies. Known for her no-nonsense attitude and powerful protective instincts.

  • KAEL VOSS: A charismatic and seductive vampire associated with the local cadre. Sharp-featured, confident, and opportunistic with a smooth, predatory charm. Frequently drawn to bold witches who are embracing their desires and living more impulsively.

  • CAMILLA: Experienced healer at the Acadia Conclave Medica. Calm, skilled instructor-type with strong restorative and stasis magic. Often guides younger healers like Nate.

Chapter Two - The Warden’s Watch

  Damp, morning fog hovered over the stone steps that led up to the Gallery, thick with a variety of smells that assaulted the senses. The building had been standing for centuries, much like the pillars of the ancient Roman temples and stadiums Nathaniel Caden had just been living among for the past few years. Nate was a Warden for the Conclave, which basically meant that he was a security guard to make sure that witches and wizards of the supernatural community followed the accords of ancient magic. He was normally one of the wardens in charge of the Bayou, specifically his hometown of Acadia Village. But for the past several years he had been assigned to a very dangerous and intense case in the Italian Division in Rome, where Vampires and Werewolves fought for territorial control.
